Hi! I’m Laura Leigh!
I’m a Whovian, Jedi Master, Trekkie/Vulcan, Cylon, Slayer, bearer of the Outsider’s mark, Dragonborn, Lone Wanderer/Courier, monster hunter, and about 2,347 other nerdy things.
I used to be an attorney. I practiced for more than a decade, and it’s been awhile since I quit the profession. Why did I quit? Because it was a stressful job filled with stressed out people. Stress leads to anger, anger leads to hate, and hate leads to the rebels blowing up your awesomely cool Death Star. Stress can be seriously devastating, kids!
But also because I love school and really wanted to be in academia. So, I went back and got a Master’s degree in English. I taught writing composition at a wee little community college for a few years, and then decided to go for a PhD in English. Dun, dun, duunnnn! So, that’s where I am now. I’m in my last year of the program working on my dissertation! Yay!
This site will be documenting my journey through time and space. No, wait. Not that. That’s the Doctor. I’ll be documenting my journey through life as a student, pop culture nerd, runner, and whatever else may pop up.
