Hi! I’m Laura Leigh!

I’m a huge nerd who loves video games, sci-fi, fantasy, reading, and, believe it or not, CrossFit. I’m one of those weirdos who works out at 5am.

I used to be an attorney. I practiced for more than a decade, and it’s been awhile since I quit the profession. Why did I quit? Because it was a stressful job filled with stressed out people. Long story short, I got burnt out.

So, I went back to school and got a Master’s degree in English. I taught writing composition at a wee little community college for a few years, and then decided to go for a PhD in English. I now have that PhD and I’m looking for a full-time position.

While I search for a job, I’m busy teaching part-time at Bowling Green State University and University of Cincinnati, and I’m adapting my dissertation into a book! Woo hoo!!
